For years I've dreamed of writing a book about quilting. The type of book that I've felt is completely missing from the quilting world. More photos and inspiration, and less technical details and pages of writing. I've tried to accomplish that with my first book, which is self published and full of quilts, simple patterns, lots of talk about the quilts... and well, maybe that's enough for this paragraph! I have just come across your blog and am thrilled. I've made a few quilts, but they were so amateurish that I stopped. I have great difficulty buying fabrics, because, of course, I am always drawn to the splashy colours (and buy without an idea of what to do with them).
