Well, it’s been a minute again… I do seem to have trouble with consistently keeping in touch. But as usual I’m still quilting! I was on a quest to use up all my scraps and document them in a book form. Well would you know, my scraps ended up making 20 quilts! And then I just quit because I could have made a couple more but I needed to stop.
So the book/journal that documents all these quilts will be available within a week! I’ll be sure to post again when it’s ready, with more sneak peaks and details.
But let’s see if there’s any other sewing to update besides these scrap quilts which I can’t show you.
I finished my second Bramble Blooms quilt top! The final border instructions were to use vines/applique that tied in with the original quilt. I decided to use these leaves that I also used in the border of my first Bramble Blooms quilt. Now I’d like to get both of these quilted up and then I’ll be ready to make the third Bramble Blooms quilt when the instructions come out. I must say I’ve still been enjoying this project a lot even though the fabrics and color aren’t my favorite, so that’s really saying something!
I also started a version of Winterville, a pattern by Thimbleblossoms. I have a tradition that for my birthday I start a new quilt project. Just whatever I feel like that day, completely frivolous. So I ended up with this pattern. Although as usual I neglected to notice how tiny all those little snowflake pieces and leaves would be. So on my actual birthday I didn’t even get started on the fun part which is the houses!
I also do a lot of other sewing which I don’t generally share here. Clothing and home decor etc. But I thot I’d show you the curtain I made yesterday out of random old tablecloths and doilies which I’m always collecting. It’s so much fun and no need to overthink it, I just lay stuff together how I want it and then stitch it down on top of each other. This type of thing would make a lovely quilt top too!
Well that’s all for today and you should be hearing from me again soon with a link to the next book to purchase!

Congrats on your new book! Scraps are the best and you always manage to have the best color palettes for your quilts.:) Loving your Bramble Blooms quilt. The gradation of colors in your applique leaves are just wonderfully satisfying! Love it!! And your mixed fabric curtain is very sweet. Thanks for the inspiration!
