I wanted to say “Thanks” to QuiltStory for featuring my quilt today. Problem was I didn’t have any new projects to show you. Although there are a few in the quilting stage, I seem to work in fits or bursts, or whatever you wanna call it!
But then I realized I hadn’t shown any of my recent quilt blocks I’ve made for quilting bees. This one above was made for Lynne in the Fresh Modern Bee. She asked for anything with freehand curves. Although it was my first time with this technique, I found it amazingly simple. I was sure the block would be wavy and rumpled, but everything lay flat with just a bit of ironing. Tutorial here. Try it on a small block. It’s fun!
The other two are for the do.Good Stitches bee and I can’t wait to see them in their finished quilts.

Fun blocks. I'll definitely click on the tutorial and try the curved piecing. It turned out great!

Hi, I found my way here from Quiltstory. Love your work and have become a follower because i find your work refreshing.
I did read your ramble and found that pretty interesting. Using your quilt as an example, I feel in love and realized that I could start immediately because I already had a ton of the HST done already for Wonky Stars(Bonnie Hunt). Everything quilty does come from something already quilty. Keep up the great work. Selina

Hi,
I was just wondering where you got your little blue elephant stitches tags you put on your quilts…
Thanks – a fellow Canadian,

Oh no….where did your basket post go? I saw it last night and went back to it today to get another look at that pretty quilt and it is gone. I did find the book on Amazon and will order it today if there are still copies! Great, beautiful basket quilt!! Love it. Kris@novel ideas
