#quilt the book ~ SisterHood of Scraps ~ Quilt #1
I decided to quilt through a book again, and chose Sisterhood of Scraps. Here’s my first finish from that book! It’s mostly from my scrap bin except for the squares in the border. I love seeing how a quilt like this can look similar yet so different to the original in the pattern. This is an incredibly easy pattern, but still makes a very nice design!
This one ended up as a larger throw size, kind of my favourite size to make!
For years I've dreamed of writing a book about quilting. The type of book that I've felt is completely missing from the quilting world. More photos and inspiration, and less technical details and pages of writing. I've tried to accomplish that with my first book, which is self published and full of quilts, simple patterns, lots of talk about the quilts... and well, maybe that's enough for this paragraph! This color combo is one of my favorites Jolene. And the few tiny pops of red are perfect. I love this! Sewing through a book sounds like a fun plan – I may have to steal that idea!
