This week, there’s no finished quilts to show you, but here’s one that’s been in progress for a while. It’s in the midst of being hand quilted right now, so who knows when it will be done? I’ve also got my huge Swoon quilt set up on the hand quilting frame in the basement, so my allotted time for sitting and quilting is stretched a bit thin!
And then I had a few paragraphs written about ‘color sense’ and ‘color confidence’ and I was getting all random and gushy about my ideas on how I think every one has an inner artist – they just need to believe in the beauty of their own ideas…
Then I deleted it cause it was one of those that I know I’d be embarrassed of in a week or two:) Plus it wasn’t anything groundbreaking, I’m sure it’s been said better by a million others…
So I can’t think of anything else to say right now, brain’s a bit foggy. And I’m trying to resist the urge to go home and sew rather than balance my accounts!

I would have loved to have read your thoughts on color confidence and the inner artist…maybe another time? I love the bright heart in the center of the quilt. It's probably a good thing I don't have a basement or I would have a zillion works in progress!!

Pretty quilt – at first I thought it would be a "low volume" quilt, but the heart in the middle is just amazing!!

I love this!! What size squares did you use???

I would love to have an inner artist! I do wonder if some people just fake it with a really big closet full of (great) fabric though?

I love your color sense, did I tell you? 🙂
I'll be here to see the final result

I don't care where you got the idea for that quilt or if you made it up yourself… it is gorgeous!
Amanda says
my theory on color is that everyone should trust themselves but that most people don't. I love seeing your quilts mostly because they are gorgeous, but also because they don't show a fear of color.

Beautiful, as always! You didn't even save the draft of your thoughts on color and inner artist? I agree with everyone else. I would love to read YOUR thoughts on both!
Marlynne says
Fun to have quilts in the making! I hand quilt on the go! In the car, watching t.V. etc. Probably not as neat as siting in front of a quilting frame, but I get it done and move on to something else.
