my house is sorta cleaned up and the laundry caught up, OR i make quilts.
not both.
last week my house was cleaned up.
this week i’m gonna quilt (i hope!)
For years I've dreamed of writing a book about quilting. The type of book that I've felt is completely missing from the quilting world. More photos and inspiration, and less technical details and pages of writing. I've tried to accomplish that with my first book, which is self published and full of quilts, simple patterns, lots of talk about the quilts... and well, maybe that's enough for this paragraph! Visit the blog post for more details!
NOTE! My book is now available on Amazon as well!
Please do! Housework and laundry are so overrated!
I hear ya! My housework and quilt progress are inversely proportional, too.
Sounds familiar. I start every day with good intentions of doing the "important" things first and sewing after, but it never ends up that way!
It's funny, but I'll confess that I've been feeling quite the opposite. I think I actually planned to clean, not sew for one day? Weird. Maybe I'm sick?
Glad to hear it's not just me!!
yep! that's how it goes in this house
I have enlisted the hubble to do a weekly top to bottom clean with me, if we do it together it takes just over 2 hours of our saturday morning, and bam, weekend of sewing time!
Goog luck quilting! I think it's easier sew when the house isn't a mess…sooo I clean to.
I was thinking yesterday I hadn't seen a post from you for a while and here it is! A balance between housework and quilting is a good thing!
ha too funny. how true that is.
I was just thinking the same thing as I was coming downstairs from my sewing room and looking at my living room that seems as though a tornado hit it.
Housework does not stay "done." I vote for sewing!
Ha!! love it– i'm not alone! Hope you have a great week of sewing……
i am the exact same jolene! seriously, the clean laundry will stay in a pile on my bedroom floor and i will sew instead! i like it.
