In the above diagram I’ve broken down this block into the three individual components that will make this quilt. As you can see, we’ve got half square triangles, and then two different bunches of nine patches, their only difference being the value/colors used.
Let’s start with the half square triangles:
Next we’ll make the medium/dark nine patch units:
Now we’re almost done, just gotta make the medium/light nine patches.
So once again, these are the blocks you should have:
Next we’ll be ready to start assembling blocks! I’ll be back in a few days on that one.
Meanwhile, I’ve had a few requests for fabric and block amounts for some of the other value variations I showed you. Oh that's great!! love to know the amount of fabric for the pattern with half quare triangles in medium/light value, and the nine patch blocks with light/dark mix. I am following the original pattern for this round… thanks,Jolene!
