It’s here and ready to get into your hands! You can purchase a print copy, or a digital copy. I will share links to both at the bottom of the post.
Book Version- as I said, I self published this book with a company called Blurb. I tried samples from a few different printing companies and this one had the best quality book for the best price I could manage. You will order from their website and they print the book specifically for your order and ship it to you. This is why it takes a couple days from the time you order till the book ships. They DO ship all over the world.
Digital Version – I found a website that hosts virtual books, so I chose this because I love the way the pages turn like a real book. It’s the most like reading a real book, which was important to me. I also didn’t want people downloading and sharing, so if you buy this book on Isuu (the website where it’s hosted) it will stay only on their site, and to read it you log in on Isuu and find your purchases and there it is to read at any time.
I realize my whole set up is not quite typical of how people write and sell books, since I didn’t use any publisher. I hope you are satisfied with your purchase and I’d love to hear your feedback, even on the process of purchasing, quality of book you received etc. I plan to make more books in the future, so I want to keep improving if needed!
If you want to read more about my process and how this book came about, you can visit my previous blog post here.
And just a hint, if you want to sample the first few pages without paying, you can visit the Isuu (digital version) link, and they offer a preview.

I have been using blurb since 2007 for many different styles and book formats. I LOVE the magazine format and us it to make instructional booklets for my icon painting students. the quality is so good. I’m excited to see you book!

That’s really great to hear, it’s hard to find a lot of info online, but yes I’ve also been very happy with the quality of their magazines!

I’m having so much trouble ordering! It will not accept the 20% off code they sent me! Tried for 30 minutes!
Jolene says
I’m so sorry, I removed that about the 20 percent off from my blog post because I found out it only applied to authors purchasing their own books! I’m really sad about this, I was so hoping I could offer you all this discount. I’m very sorry about that!

I just tried to buy the magazine from Blurb and even though I signed up it is not giving me the discount.

I just now saw the other comments about the 20% off not applying. I ordered it anyways. I admire your work. Your style speaks to me.

I just bought the download and wanted to say well done! It’s beautiful and I will be looking at this a lot. Looking forward to the next one, x

I looked at the digital down load, I love holding the actual book in my hands but the exchange in between $US into $NZ makes it pretty expensive plus the postage costs are more than your beautiful looking book.
I did peek at Issu to order but they ask that your credit card is kept on file, not too happy about that but I may mull it over a little longer.

I have a spending card through my bank that I fund to use for online purchases. I was surprised to learn how many online and otherwise places keep your credit card information on file without your knowledge. Then these places get breached and your credit card info is in cyberspace.
Ask and see if your bank has a spending card you can fund from your checking account. It’s so much safer than using your credit cards online.

Congrats on the book. I’ve admired your quiltmaking for years.

Love the book. I so admire your work and as a beginner this book will be very useful! Thank you. I prefer not to use Amazon. But after a few struggles re your site ‘not being secure’ and the cost of mail (I live in Australia), I found it on Amazon (I normally avoid Amazon) and received in 2 days. Amazon signed me up for Prime which I don’t want… but I will figure out how to cancel before ‘free’ period ends in a month.
