another one finished up! This really was my oldest work-in-progress! this top has been sitting partially quilted for 2 1/2 years.
i think my original inspiration came from these bee blocks that i made. i always liked that lone row of geese, but decided to make them proper geese and fly across the quilt. and of course i was on a huge rainbow kick.
it feels so good to have it finished up. i think the one thing that i really like about it at this point is the quilting design, which i had actually drawn up way back then as well.
on to the next one!!

I love the sense of movement in this quilt. You're eye is drawn one direction with the flying geese, then when you take a second look and catch sight of the quilting everything flows in another direction. Lovely!

I love this quilt. It has so much going for it. With a slight tweak in the color scheme, you can change the whole mood, but I like it just as it is.
