Well, just like that! I’ve been waiting and waiting for the final steps that were out of my control, but now my second book is available. You can purchase it on Amazon as a paperback magazine or as a Kindle Ebook.

It is also available world wide on Amazon, but I can’t link to each one so just search for Scrap Quilt Diary on Amazon if you’re not in the USA or Canada.
So what’s in this book? Well, it’s a mainly photographic journal of all the scrap quilts I made with my overflowing baskets of scraps. I made 20 quilts and they’re all included in this book. This book is somewhat different than my previous book, A Year of Quilts. My plan is to make one book like that per year. This Scrap Quilt book was kind of an extra that I decided to add in because I thought it would be fun to document this scrap quilt project in book form. It’s a shorter book at only 75 pages, and also lighter on the writing. There are a few simple patterns included.
One of them is a variation on the Scrappy Trip Quilt that makes the blocks into a diamond design.
Another is a simple scrappy basket block.
And my very favorite, which is the instructions on how to make this very English cottage quilt block. I’m so excited about this block because I spent a fair bit of time coming up with the right dimensions and proportions and also a method of putting together that includes my signature ingredients of not being to fussy or tricky to do. I personally think this quilt block is a lot of fun to make.
Each of the 20 quilts in this stack is included in the book, as well as the block dimensions or sizes of squares used. Quite a few are either very basic designs or else were made from leftover blocks that I’m not able to give a pattern for, but are more for inspiration. There are quite a few with instructions though, as I said above.
This book is a very affordable price of $19 USD, and I also made it available as a Kindle Ebook.
I was able to put a sale on my first book as well, so if you haven’t purchased it yet, it’s now $30!
I made the decision to only offer my book on Amazon this time. The main reason is that shipping is by far the most affordable on Amazon for all around the world. Maybe someday there will be another option available, but for now I’m just really happy that I can share my love of quilting with you in book format! I hope you enjoy it, and if you feel like leaving a review on Amazon, it will be much appreciated!
Also, quite a few of the quilts from this book will be available on Etsy in the next couple of weeks. I will ship them with a courier so the Canada Post mail strike won’t be an issue.
