Here’s finished photos of my second quilt from the book Simply Retro. Definitely a distinct color scheme, one that makes me think of candy and icecream!
I left off the border on this one, so after washing the size is 46″x58″.
I backed it in a voile, so again it is so silky and soft.
For years I've dreamed of writing a book about quilting. The type of book that I've felt is completely missing from the quilting world. Â More photos and inspiration, and less technical details and pages of writing. Â I've tried to accomplish that with my first book, which is self published and full of quilts, simple patterns, lots of talk about the quilts... and well, maybe that's enough for this paragraph! Looks very pretty! I have thought that backing have to be sturdy so voile would be too thin. How does it take washing etc? Is quilting easier?
