the last thing i needed at the end of the year was another half finished project.
so that’s exactly what i got myself. it was a lot of fun starting it.
i know i’ll love it when it’s done.
it’s just that crazy in between part . . . which also explains a few too many other piles
in the closet!
i’ve got all the pieces cut, so i’ll slowly plug away at sewing them together. i’m going completely scrappy
for the colored circle (like i just pulled scraps for most of the pieces). the background will be a mish mash
of light colored solids and prints. i’m doing the twin size, which is three rings by four. this is the single girl quilt pattern, btw.
This is going to be spectacular. If I could get the backing together for mine, I would send it off and have it machine quilted….
I love the cursive writing fabrics- this will be lovely when finished.
Oooh!! I can't wait to see more…!
I like your take on the single girl. This is one I have wanted to make but haven't yet. Let me know how difficult it is to piece.
may i quilt along with you? I got the pattern when there was a quilt along.. few years ago? this quilt is on first quilt to do list. love yours… the cursive print is just perfect. I have some myself.. 🙂
Might have to rethink my background plans (plain white) now that I've seen what you're doing. It'll be beautiful! I just ordered the pattern finally yesterday and I'm planning to use my favorites from the last 4 or 5 DS fabric collections. I might still have to buy 2 or 3 from the next line so there won't be duplicates within a block. I'm planning to make a queen. No bets how long it will take to finish 🙂
I'm already liking this! You have such a great style!! Happy New Year! 🙂
wow, this is going to look amazing!!!
I love texty prints. This will be wonderful, although I'd be afraid of the curves…..
Looking forward to seeing more ; )
Love this pattern. I have some Liberty prints I am trying to find a pattern for… maybe this is it! I have heard that it is technically quit challenging, is that right?
it'll be beautiful! and worth the effort. 🙂
Love the scrappiness of this, and I agree about the in between part, but the payoff at the end will be amazing! Have fun with it!
I love the way your quilts always have slightly different background colors (my newest favorite of yours is the trees quilt from the book). I have never seen the alphabet print before. Do you remember the name of that one?
Love the text prints in the background!
I have recently bought this pattern , but not tried it yet ! Looks like a pain to piece together . All those numbered templates …….mmmm. If you work out any good tips to make it easier or faster . Please let me know . I love your scrappy look . This is going to be beautiful .
LOVELY LOVELY!
I think I may have to boycott your blog as i want to make everything I see on it! LOL!
This will be awesome! The scrappiness is perfect! Mine was started in February of 2011, and I just finished it over the Christmas break. That's too long for a project to go on, but I'm very glad I did it! Have fun!
it's going to be so gorgeous
*smile* New year I pulled my single girl rings (begun in 2011) and finished some blocks. I'm sure your're faster than me. I like your scrappy rings. Wished I was that clever. Maybe for a pillow? we'll see. I'm curious what it will look like, your scrappy single girl.
Love your version of this quilt so much! The text-y backgrounds are going to be great! Wish I have the ambition to tackle this one–too much for my over-full plate right now. I will enjoy watching your progress though!
It's beautiful!!! Some day I want to tackle this one too! Happy New Year!
Love your color choice!
wow that's super super gorgeous. I love that cursive handwriting print!!! Great fabrics!
