so i’m sitting here quilting this ginormous quilt (80″x80″) and thinking sheepishly about how i’ve missed yammering on about quilty stuff here on my blog.
also thinking about the reasons i decided to step back, and maybe the lessons i’ve learned about those reasons so maybe i could make it all work.
and ideas and thoughts on all types of quilting, blogging, and book writing topics.
and maybe some ways i could make this blog work without taking more of my time than it should.
For years I've dreamed of writing a book about quilting. The type of book that I've felt is completely missing from the quilting world. Â More photos and inspiration, and less technical details and pages of writing. Â I've tried to accomplish that with my first book, which is self published and full of quilts, simple patterns, lots of talk about the quilts... and well, maybe that's enough for this paragraph! I am so happy to think you might be coming back to the blog. I only discovered you just before you took a break and I love your blog. I have no idea how people manage to work, raise kids, quilt and blog but I certainly love looking at all the pretty and amazing things people make. I hope you find a way to balance everything that makes you happy and gives us pretty things for inspiration.
