I sewed this quilt top two years ago. I used a variety of light fabrics, some new and some vintage for the background fabrics, as well as the wedges.
After completing the dresdens, I didn’t want a square quilt, so rather than make more Dresden blocks I made a row of flying geese for the top and bottom.
I set the quilt up on my hand quilting frame in our basement and slowly worked on quilting it. (With the help of my mom, grandma, aunts, friends).
Now it’s finally done and fits perfectly on my daughters twin bed.
Pattern is a homemade wedge template I had on hand.
Finished size is 69”x79”
Backing is a vintage sheet.

This is absolutely gorgeous. The first block I ever tried was a dresden and I still think they always look amazing. I love your fabric choices for the background and the flying geese too. x
